Gault&Millau's review 2025

Even good restaurants sometimes have bad days. And we caught one of those at Otto this test season. We had to wait almost half an hour for the reserved table – outside in the rain. Then the grilled asparagus was so salty that we let it go back (it didn't appear on the bill either). Later it was said that the EC machine didn't work – again through the rain to the ATM. But wait – much more important is that in the tiny bistro with an open kitchen and smart concrete walls, they work with ambition and imagination on modern regional cuisine – and this usually succeeds without accidents. The menu includes freshwater fish, game and lots of vegetables. Ferments such as char garum are made in-house. There are also natural wines. And in summer a beautiful terrace. We are sure: On good days, the service and kitchen provide many good reasons for a visit. We will be back!
