Gault&Millau's review 2025

The origins of the Old Distillery in Pullach, south of Munich, date back to the 19th century and, as the name suggests, the distillery was originally used to produce fruit brandies. Today, the Old Distillery stands as an example of the preservation of historic buildings, the original structures of the distillery have been largely preserved and integrated into the new use. In summer, the beautiful inner courtyard offers the opportunity to enjoy very good cuisine in the open air. Sebastian Fasching attaches great importance to regional ingredients, which are processed with great attention to detail. The menu offers a modern interpretation of traditional Bavarian cuisine, which is complemented by international influences and components. In addition to the knowledgeably compiled wine list, the restaurant also offers a selection of fruit brandies, of course in relation to the former use of the building. Events such as concerts, readings and art exhibitions are regularly held here, enriching the cultural life in Pullach.
