For over 45 years, the bustling brasserie with large windows, modern art on the wall and long wooden tables with paper tablecloths has been an Oberkassel institution that could also be found in the middle of France. Jenny Hülsmann serves classic bistro cuisine from plateau de fruits de mer to veal cheek aspic in aspic to moules et frites. What does this have to do in a gourmet guide, especially since the menu is not exactly small? It's the quality that counts. The best Galloway beef, dry-aged, aromatic lamb, good game, dewy oysters and an always full house, where even the most remote menu item is ordered not only every few days. Guaranteed good atmosphere is free of charge.
