In Cologne's lively Südstadt, a modern brewery combines traditional brewing art with contemporary cuisine. To kick things off, the Vesperbrett beckons, classically as "Schäfer" or in vegetarian and vegan variants "Jemös". The dishes focus on sustainability and regional quality: smoky braised pork ribs from Westphalian pork or boiled boiled beef from Eifel beef stand next to creative meatless options. Ingredients from artisanal production such as old potato varieties provide authentic taste. Tasty beers, a good selection of wines as well as lunch and brewery breakfast on weekends make the brewery a lively meeting place.
