Gault&Millau's review 2025

The Bürgerspital Weinstuben in Würzburg, a family-run restaurant in the second generation, is a permanent fixture in Franconian gastronomy. Regional dishes are served under historic vaults or in the courtyard: for example, pork scoops with potato dumplings and coleslaw or pike-perch fillet on jasmine rice cream with cauliflower and curry foam. Vegetarian and vegan options such as a veggie burger with beetroot sticks or sweet potato gnocchi with Brussels sprouts and chestnuts are also on the menu. The in-house wines round off the offer.
