Gault&Millau's review 2025

Like in a nave, you eat at stylish tables at Christoph Paul's between sacred murals in the former city monastery in the Belgian Quarter. Meanwhile, the upscale, French-based cuisine is not served as blasphemous gluttony, but in well-dosed doses on beautifully arranged plates with mainly regional ingredients such as poached chicken egg on spinach leaves or Eifel saddle of venison, to which the sauce contains a dash of Armagnac in addition to local plums, just as the chicken egg is covered with foreign truffles. The menu and wine list are hospitably priced.
