Gault&Millau's review 2025

For over 400 years, the Brogsitter family of winegrowers has been managing the Sanct Peter winery and inn. After the flood disaster in 2021, the restaurant shines in new splendour thanks to the stylish reconstruction - the successful balance between tradition and modernity was already honoured last year. In the kitchen, Benjamin Schöneich, who has been responsible for the culinary management since the opening, presents his skills and lets his individual style come into its own more and more. His dishes combine tradition with lightness and aromatic compositions, as shown by the delicately arranged lobster carpaccio with fresh crab and curry vinaigrette. The saddle of venison, grilled on charcoal, convinces with a slightly spicy-sweet aroma of pineapple and curry in a purple jus. The extensive wine list offers an impressive selection, including fine wines from their own winery. A courteous service rounds off the visit.
