Gault&Millau's review 2025

Directly opposite the striking town hall in Brandenburg an der Havel stands the "Inspektorenhaus" – a charming half-timbered house from 1742 that once served as the market inspector. Today, Benjamin Döbbel runs the restaurant with a lot of heart and soul and serves seasonally changing menus that delight with either fish or meat. The menu offers a tartare of Label Rouge salmon, a Japanese Osen with truffle or cod on saffron risotto with Parmesan espuma. The two five-course menus always offer a harmonious combination of the best products and well thought-out preparation. In summer, the idyllic Hofgarten beckons, where the grill is sometimes heated.
