Gault&Millau's review 2025

"What the fuck is home?" asks a work of art in the high hall with industrial chic of the KRasserie in Verve5 next to the main station of the Krefeld fire department. Philipp Rümmele, who is steeled by top cuisine at the Sylt Landhaus Stricker, answers the question with a brasserie menu that is less oriented towards French models than locally available ingredients and offers rock-solid cuisine with homesickness potential: beef fillet from the German heifer, crispy lacquered yet tender roast goose, Wiener Schnitzel from suckling veal or – a little reminiscence – Breton lobster soup. Decent portions, good preparation, the best atmosphere, a wine list with cheap, good and outstanding wines (in the open bar in the somewhat "KRuden" 0.15 l measure): Everything is made for a relaxed, long and enjoyable evening with friends.
