Gault&Millau's review 2025

The wellness resort in the Allgäu on Lake Forggensee has more to offer than just the view of Neuschwanstein: the Zirbenstube is certainly one of the most beautiful alpine dinner locations. In addition to a variety of events under the former restaurant name Gams & Gloria, chef Erik Wendt presents uncomplicated, solidly made cuisine with an Allgäu touch at the "Louis II" with high armchairs and golden wall coverings, such as veal schnitzel, cheese spaetzle, saddle of venison with porcini mushroom thalers or duck breast with pretzel soufflé in port wine jus.
