Want coffee? In Malte's hidden kitchen, this question is asked all day long and not only after the evening menu, because the restaurant in Baden-Baden's pedestrian zone is actually a coffee house, and one of the cozy kind. Thonet bistro chairs on bare wooden tables, coffee cans on the shelves, industrial lights above the tables. In the evening, cooking takes place behind a partition wall – in the hidden kitchen. It still smells of coffee, but this does not detract from the dishes in Malte Kuhn's three- to six-course menu, which are creatively arranged around a central ingredient and are precisely arranged as well as cooked, sometimes in seemingly contradictory combinations such as fish brund and hazelnut cream. Afterwards a coffee? Of course!
