Gault&Millau's review 2025

The "mundart", under the direction of Markus and Beatrix Hebestreit, combines tradition with modern accents in a charming historic village house. Since 2011, the hosts have been pampering their guests with creative regional-Mediterranean cuisine. The atmosphere is a successful mixture of old charm and modern elements, both in the interior and on the terrace. In a relaxed environment, you can enjoy exquisite French-Mediterranean dishes à la carte or a fine 3-course menu. The prelude: grilled octopus and wild shrimp with lobster foam and tomato sugo. This is followed by a sous-vide cooked Allgäu beef fillet with fermented pepper, asparagus and potato cake. The conclusion is a seductive crème brûlée with raspberries and cream ice cream. Everything impeccable! And the wine list? Best of Rheinhessen up and down, bravo!
