Gault&Millau's review 2025

In the 10-hectare, well-kept park with metre-thick walls from the 15th century and a hall from 1840, Loersfeld Castle offers the perfect ambience for light, finely balanced haute cuisine that radiates and conveys nobility, harmony and well-being. The Bellefontaine family has been the tenant of the castle since the 60s and has developed Loersfeld into a safe bank in the upscale restaurant landscape of the wide area. Of course, predestined for events, you can also dine alone or as a couple excellently and well cared for. Giorgio Mimisa likes to start with classic caviar blini or oysters and then provides his guests with gourmet classics such as dipped scallops in djon mustard vinaigrette, foie gras with orange blossom jelly, pigeon ballotine or even carefully exotic dishes such as ikejime char in sake beurre blanc with pak choi and enoki mushrooms. The service is professional and distinguished in keeping with the surroundings, and those who have studied the classically stocked wine list too closely can also stay overnight in some large guest rooms on site.
