The Überfahrt restaurant on Lake Tegernsee is back. Away from the tourist crowds around Lake Tegernsee, you can sit in the newly designed rooms of the Überfahrt restaurant with a view of the Wallberg. Muted blues, greens and browns reflect the colours of Lake Tegernsee. Since the beginning of September 2024, Cornelia Fischer – named one of the most promising chefs of the next generation by Gault&Millau – has been pampering guests with a completely renewed concept at this outstanding gourmet address at the Althoff Seehotel Überfahrt. The motto is: "Regional solidarity with a view of the world". Guests can choose between three menus, called "Reise" in the Überfahrt, with a focus on fish and meat, or the garden walk, which is completely vegetarian. It is also possible to change individual dishes, i.e. to put together an individual à la carte menu. Cornelia Fischer's harbingers are unique: before each course, a miniature variation of the main components is served to get in the mood for the following dish. The cuisine: down-to-earth, close to home and reduced. The theme of butter runs like a red thread through the menu. Even the bread is served with two kinds of butter (nut butter and salted sour cream butter). Black salsify, cauliflower, the ray, the leek as a side dish of lamb, all dishes have nut butter in the sauce or use it as a cooking substance. The restaurant offers an extensive selection of wines, which is carefully put together to accompany the dishes perfectly. The extremely prudent and knowledgeable sommelier Marie Christin Baunach shines with her precise recommendations to choose the ideal glass or bottle. The high quality of the food, the creative presentation and the excellent service make the crossing an unforgettable destination for gourmets and connoisseurs. Whether for a romantic dinner, a festive event or simply for a break from everyday life - the Überfahrt restaurant always provides an extraordinary and sensual experience.
