Unfortunately, you have to pay a little attention to the date in the Schlicht, because otherwise the menu will indeed be as the name promises: Only on Fridays and Saturdays and only every two weeks there is the menu that we like to recommend here. Otherwise, the Schlicht is a simple wine bar, but even that is already an asset in and around Koblenz. It will be a real main prize at the right time (and only with reservation!) when you can enjoy a Nordic-inspired eight-course menu in a relaxed atmosphere, which is primarily based on the range of goods offered by regional producers and thus naturally reflects the respective season. Combinations such as bread, butter, liver and apple, celery, cream and blossoms or cheese, malt and ash do justice to the purist style of Rebecca Fischer's cuisine even in the name, who knows how to concentrate entirely on a few ingredients and tease out maximum aromatics from them with the support of homemade oils and gentle spice. You can watch her in the open kitchen and enjoy good German, French and Austrian wines on the recommendation of host Richard Sänger and sommelier Marc Caspari. If you have made a mistake in the date, there is at least good cheese from Jamei Leibspeis or a braised roast beef with bacon savoy cabbage and pear during the wine bar times.
