Gault&Millau's review 2025

"Steins Traube", a house with over a hundred years of history, combines tradition and modernity and presents a cuisine full of ambitious, creative creativity. A harmonious mixture of French power and Mediterranean lightness characterises the menu. The evening begins with the baked curry prawn croustillant in crispy katafi dough, followed by a carpaccio of red wild prawns - both convince with a refined, balanced spectrum of aromas. The pink roasted leg of Soonwald venison shows a delicate, juicy texture, mild and intense at the same time, with a fine, nutty note, accompanied by intense mulberry jus and gratinated salted celery - top! The impressive wine list, curated by sommelier Maria Vizsnyai, offers rarities and an exquisite Riesling selection, complemented by in-house editions. The warm service and the family atmosphere reflect the passion of the Stein family. If you want to learn more, you can take part in regularly offered cooking courses.
