At Wonka, regional cooking is done – with a good portion of Asian influence. And not just since Japanese cuisine began its triumphal march in the hip addresses in Germany, but for decades. And if there's one thing it's certainly not, the Wonka, it's hip. Located in Sankt Johannis, Christian Wonka doesn't make much of a fuss about his good ingredients and precise preparation, but has equally colorful plates served in his restaurant, which was designed very colorfully and, at least by the standards of the time, in his restaurant, which was designed sometime in the late nineties or early 2000s, albeit rather less suitable for social media, whose basic ingredients are constantly flashing through, but with aromas of umeboshi, tamarind or shiso on the palate. The fact that the whole thing works wonderfully not only with fish and meat is shown by the vegan menu, which is not seen here as a substitute party, but quite independently.
