One of the best ways to eat really good fish in Hamburg can be found in the lively seafood bar at the northern end of the Große Freiheit. Whether as sashimi or grilled, whether crustaceans and shellfish or fish: everything here comes absolutely fresh from the water and becomes a highly pleasant, relaxed moment of enjoyment with a few but good and intense additions. This is ambitious bistro cuisine at fair prices in a casual atmosphere, but without compromising on product quality. The wines don't have to hide, nor do the cocktails – and if you want more complexity, go to the "hæbel" from the same family just around the corner.
