Two gourmet restaurants in picturesque Wernigerode bear Robin Pietsch's culinary signature. While international experiments are being carried out next door, you will find refined, enjoyable down-to-earthness in the "Zeitwerk". Hardly any other chef in the region combines traditional Harz dishes with haute cuisine as effortlessly as he does. His team serves a menu of 14 small delicacies four times a week as a loving homage to their homeland and grandma Christa. New and old from the Harz Mountains are served, wonderfully fermented, smoked, pickled, strongly seasoned with many herbs. Delicate and like mother's, both the eel with peas and morels and the tender venison goulash taste delicious under a dream of potatoes and hollandaise.
